  1. ive added some noise to the right hand side of this pic so you can see what it looks like.
  2. Looks fine in IE7, but take the screen down to 800x600 and you lose a bit of the page on the right, with no scroll bar option, you can see upto the second "i" in association. but i wouldnt worry to much, i work in the IT undustry, and in the last few years i havnt seen many machine running at 800x600, although, stats say that 12% of browsers are set to 800x600 i would say its alot less than this. below is a table showing the most popular SR`s 1. 1024 x 768 56.15% 2. 1280 x 1024 15.79% 3. 800 x 600 12.04% 4. 1280 x 800 4.09% 5. 1152 x 864 3.90% but to get around the problem what i would do is set your site to %, that way, no matter what size resolution a visitor uses your site will automatically resize its self to fit. hope this helps
  3. i am also glad to say, bt have finaly got there act together, and i am now getting a almost constant speed, much happier now. Download Speed: 6501 kbps (812.6 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 378 kbps (47.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
  4. cracking pics, lovely looking flower, ive never seen one of those before, but the leaves and stems are almost identical to those on a busy lizzy, (Impatiens) lovely.
  5. Tripod arived this morning, spot on, just what i needed.
  6. Hi all Westie, (Great picture by the way) those pics where taken using the Auto-macro setting, i let the camera take control of the lot, just to show Norfolkdan what can be done using that method. some shots look amasing, and others look awfull, pot luck really with the camera i use, my camera you can now pick up brand new for £89.99, westies on the otherhand, i think is a Nikon D200 costs way over the £750 mark, lovely crisp images, and joels is a Konica Minolta(not sure what model, But it sure looks close to top end) so you get what you pay for, and i really cant wait to be able to afford to pay for what i get i do like this forum
  7. the camera can also do this automaticaly using the Macro button/option. these pics where all done hand held using the macro setting, in pretty breezy conditions, bar th alast one. if you use a tripod, you will get a much clearer image. result can sometimes be a bit hit and miss but you can get some really good results.( not that im saying these are really good )
  8. i use dvd audio ripper, and it works really well, you will also need a program called spin it again for splitting the tracks up, run the program load the file you have just created in dvd audio ripper, and it will offer to find the breaks in the tracks for you, this saves lots of time, you can then preview the begining and end of each track, if all ok, go ahead and finish, but if not you can slide markers around the tracks so they are in the correct place, loads of settings to mess about with but thats the general gist of it. hope this helps.
  9. Hi All ive been after a full size tripod for ages now, and recently ive been looking and bidding on the "hama Star 61" and losing out alot, ive probably bid on 6 today alone, anyway, as a last shot i put a bid on the 61`s big brother the 63, didnt have alot left in my paypal, so just put a max bid of £7, no chance, kerry took over the machine and i went about pottering around and having a beer, looked back on the auction, and with a few mins to go i was winning with a bid of £3.30 , awsome, but i knew someone would get in at the last second, but, they didnt, the auction ended and i had won it, over the moon, with postage ccomes to the grand total of £12.25, im a very very happy man this evening . Here it is

  11. why you doubt me. here s how to make a so so pic into a wonderfull arena eye candy and click accept.
  12. Good point Steve, should have mentioned that, i was rushing through to get the job done, wont happen again
  13. I couldnt get your version to work with my camera Chippy, but i found this one and edited out the border/frame section, (can be used in the challenges then) Exif script and more! cant seem to edit out all the camera info though, it gets mine but also others that are the same, mmmm, frustrating that is lolol, works well though, saves alot of time.
  14. Tried that one HB, i just get enough money in my pocket to update something and SWMBO decides we need to pay something useless like the rent or buy food, idunno, whats a bloke supposed to do. Den oops had a lie in this morning and missed it , found a buy it now for £339 going to dig around a bit more before making a decision, cheers Den.
  15. No problem Den, glad to be of help.
  16. well done westie, it was a great picture, and i voted for you well done.
  17. once they are in HRD format (Default 32bit), you can only save them as pbm, psb, exr, psd, radiance or tiff. you need to drop them into 8bit to get the full range of "save as" options ie jpg gif and the like. once you have chosen your pics the merge to HDR window opens, on the right is a drop down menue, you can choose 32, 16 and 8 bit, choose 8 bit and when its done and you have finished adjusting, goto file>save as and choose jpg or whatever format you prefer. if you have already gone past that, and your pic is open, and is in 32 bit mode, then follow instructions below. do this by going to image>Mode>8bit a pop up window will open "HDR conversion" giving you exposure and gamma settings adjust these as you like then click ok, you will now be able to go to file>save as, and in the bottom dropdown select jpg or whatever your prefered format is. hope this helps
  18. cheers for the offer but they are both way out of my price range, so is the 400D if im honest
  19. F******** Manual say "NO" short exposure (-0.5EV), standard exposure (0.0EV) and over exposure (+0.5EV). still for a camera that cost less than £90 im well happy with what i have done with it so far, really really want a Canon eos 400D though
  20. Not sure, i will just go Read the F******** Manual lololol
  21. Cheers both for your input. Mr Wiggly ya cheeky monkey if i had have known that AEB existed let alone what it was i would have gone to myself, "mmm i wonder if this camera has AEB", and Read the F******** Manual thanks for you help mate, really appreciated Steve hows you mate havnt spoke for ages. well i had a mess about with the auto AEB and multi shot, and to be honest, the contrast between the shots was minimal, this could have been down to the time of day i suppose, and the great difference in cloud formation, i will do some more experimenting using both methods at the same time od day, it did sort out the clouds though :)what do you think Using AEB Manually adjusting exposure
  22. MrWiggly your a diamond, just went through the book and yes my cam does have Continuos shot and AEB. brilliant, i will give it a go right now and get back to you with the results, blimey, i was doing it all by hand lololol. thank very much

    HDR

Hi all first of all, ignore the content of photo, i just did this quickly to get an idea of how this method works. my problem, i think, is with the speed at which i can change exposure on my camera, but need some confirmation on this, i took 3 pics under/correct/over exposed then opened them in cs2 and noticed the clouds had moved, so when the pics where combined using File>Automate>Merge to HDR, there would be some ghosting, and sure enough thats what happened, is there a way around this, i noticed in steves pic, in pic of the day the clouds looked perfect. any help would be great, in the meantime, here are the three pics seprate, combined, and then black and white. Cheers All
