Hi to all My name is Nathan and i got into fishing when i was very young and my grandad taught me. I had a long gap from fishing but now im hoping to get back into it and a bit more seriously. Im going to make a little rant but im hoping this is a good place to get some tips and advice and learn to fish better. Times have changed alot since i last went fishing. people now catch much bigger bags and carp are very common. However due to not staying into fishing the last 15 years or so im kinda learning from scratch. The problem is ive been getting very little help from people and getting silly replies (like when i asked a shop what the different preston hooks where i was told they are just serial numbers for the company. Or when i asked about modern tactics was just told he will take me fishing when he has time) and im hoping people on here can be more helpful and understanding that im basically new to this and the days of Roach and a match winning bag of 4lbs appears to be gone. I believe that knowing why is better than just knowing how and i hope to learn from you all. Anyway thanks for reading and i hope to become a better angler.
