  1. Hi all , First of all thank you for letting me join, I am a carp, barbel, pike, shark, conger, and fly fisherman in that order.... after a year hunting conger from the shore, I've now moved to brighten and joined old windsor there, associate club TVAA have the fishing at marsh lane on the river jubilee, I see a lot of chaps there with bivies and the odd pleasure angler but everyone is very tight lipped. i have had some persch to lure out of there while looking round with a lure rod and have seen carp and big bream moving around. However I'm hoping you can help me by offering any advice for daytime carp sessions on there, I have a single rod and all the usual gear but I'm not set up for long sessions at the moment so ill have mobility and lots of 6-8 hour daylight sessions. Additionally, does anyone have any idea of the stock the river holds esp. of carp please? My initial approach unless I'm advised otherwise would be to roll onto one of the deeper pegs, find gravel spots amongst the silt I know is in there and fish running leads on braid hook lengths with nash 15mm scopex and squid boiles 15mm with 12mm scattered around the areas. and maize. But I admit I'm out of my depth and would love any advice please. Imogen Kitty Martin
  2. HI, Could anyone tell me what he best stretch of the river Trent is for for fishing? I don't normally river fish but looking to have a good go this year.
  3. Shrimp fishing in the river (Regional Penepat West Kalimantan) Fishing Udang Galah in Penepat dated November 6, 2016 Penepat area located in District Ambawang, Kubu Raya and to reach the site about - about it takes approximately 1 hour from the city of Pontianak. Street location is a bit difficult because it is a walkway made of cement road conditions almost 50% broken and part of the road is still a dirt road. Sampan fleet Sampan fleet in Penepat Area penepat there are approximately 10 canoes that can be used for fishing. Average - Average canoe condition of 80% and there is one new boat contrived. Canoe rental amount is Rp. 20,000 / day and indeed the average - average rental prices for the region Kubu Raya canoe around that price range. As for the motorized canoe fleet (undershorts / robin) does not exist in that location. Rivers state Rivers in the area Penepat a porcupine river that has the current is not too strong. By the time we fished was the state of the water is rather cold and rivers in keaadaan pairs that cause our targets, namely prawns a lot less. Pnyewaan canoe in the area Penepat providing or selling drinks and snacks so we did not have to worry about supplies during the shrimp fishing. Examples of prawns in the area Penepat (fishing results) Some natural factors that sometimes we encounter in while fishing the change in weather. Similarly, we were a couple of times to stop fishing because of the rain. (Indeed again the rainy season anyway ... hehehe). Hopefully this information can be useful for all of your friends. 4. So i'm looking to buy a closed face reel for fishing the river don in Sheffield. Any thoughts on which one to get.
  5. I'm a huge fan of Perch fishing, on the rivers where possible. I know my local stretch of the Wey in Surrey (the Guildford stretch) has decent Perch and I've caught them up to 2lb, but I'd love to know if anyone knows of other stretches or other rivers round my area that hold a decent head of Perch. Look forward to your thoughts......
  6. Hi, I have a new river ( my friend said I can fish there) and I was wondering whether it looks good. I also need to know what sort of rigs are good for this type of fishing. The speed of the river is medium. Should I use bite alarms ( preferred) or what? Just need info on whats up. Here is the stretch of river: Thanks in advance and I cant wait to hear from you guys. - iaminneedofhelp

  8. Hello all, I am new on this forum although not new too the coarse angling scene, although I have been away a while chasing the saltwater species around the beautiful coasts of South Wales! However I am now looking to recapture the magic, how I learned to love this sport, trotting a little stick down a secluded small river or stream for Gudgeon, Dace, maybe even a bonus Chub, Brownie or Grayling! Is there anyone on here from the Swansea/Neath/Port Talbot area with any idea's of little streams that I may chase my quarry in, I would, of course obtain all the correct permissions to fish any of those venues. Many Thanks.
