I would like to see bone fish or tarpon, imagine how fast your elastic would shoot out of your pole or how fast line would be stripped from your baitrunner if you hooked one!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'd have to go with Tarpon also. I really like the idea of fishing for these things. It would give Jerkbaiting and fly-fishing a whole new meaning. I love catching Pike on these methods but to catch a 200lb fish and spend the next day or so trying to get it in would be fantastic.

Candiru for my mean streak.

Corydoras for my cute side.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Easy! Smallmouth bass. Those bad boys would add to the predatory species available in this country in an immeasurable way. The only thing is, someone would have to pass a law banning fishing for them with bait as it so misses the whole point of them, and the last thing I'd want is record breaking boilie fed smallies.

RUDD:

RUDD:

I wouldn't mind seeing a return of fish that we have lost from our local river, like dace and rudd. A few barbel wouldn't go amiss either.

The US Muskie holds a certain appeal! That would upset Mr Collins!

I was down the Waveney the other week.

Trouble was it was the Waveney hotel Bar in Felixstowe.

I will return to the Waveney (river) at Beccles some time in novenmber/december when the boats and weed have gone!

Went above Beccles at the weekend and had a grand time. Hardly any boats and the weed is holding the fish a treat!

Odd that everybody on here seems to want predators but the EA wont play ball.

It'd have to be Small Mouth Bass, Asp, Stripers, Golden Perch, Nepalese Marseer (they should survive in our water temps), Lake trout, Amur Pike and Chinnok Salmon for me. I'm not sure what would be left for them to eat though.

Anybody know the fish which resembles a carp found in the U.S. I seem to remember Newt posting a pic of it or commenting on it. It was said that they are hard to catch.

Could that be a Sucker ?

Hundreds of thousands of them migrate from the great lakes into the creeks to spawn in the spring.
