The reason I am asking just in case my computer play up again, ok I was lucky this time but you never know what next!

I would be appricated if someone either help me or show me what to do!

my operating system is windows xp SP3

What do you mean by 'internet files' ? Do you just mean .html files / pages or bookmarks etc ?

Assuming you are running IE and a version IE-6 or later

1.Select File -> Import and Export. This will start the "Import and Export" wizard.

2.Select Export and the click on "next."

3.Select Favorites and click on "next."

4.In the next window you can accept the default Save Directory or choose a new one. I suggest you select "Desktop" so you can easily find the file again. Click on "next."

5.Finally, click on "finish" and your Favorites will be saved to disk.

The default file name is "bookmark.htm": simply copy this file to a floppy disk or CD. It is a small file and will fit on a floppy.

To Import your Favorites into a newly created version of Microsoft Internet Explorer post-crash simply run the wizard again. This time select Import and click on "next." Browse to the saved copy of "bookmark.htm" and the wizard will replace your existing bookmarks (which are just the defaults) with the saved copy.

If you use Firefox along with or rather than IE, let us know since the process is a little different for the FF file.

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

Well I have sorted out the bookmarks but also want to save a few email message and there is a snag in that one as wanted to export them into the floppy disc a pop message came up on the screen saying

An error occurred while initializing MAPI

As me not too clever on these computer jargon's is there another way of saving message into a floppy disc?
