Hi John E,

I will try to post some pix, if I ever get out.

I just reread what I had wrote to Skippy and it looks like I was getting at him, I wasn't, should have put in a smilly, sorry if you took offence.

David

I've been to Scrabster... and I want to go back!!!

When I was 14, went on holiday to Cornwall with my folks. Shiny new fibreglass beachcaster. Started climbing down the rocks, slipped etc etc.

The thought going through my mind, as I slid, wearing shorts, down the jagged rocks? Musn't scratch my beachcaster.

Result - legs torn to bits, but a mint condition beachcaster.

Walked back to the beach, blood stained legs, to see my folks sunbathing. Parents mortified about my legs, but thought that seawater would help. Painful half hour spent paddling in the sea. Result - not allowed to fish for the rest of the holiday.

Not that I'm physically or mentally scarred by the experience. :D

Westie.

If you're being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then on to a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They're trained for that.

One of my best ones.....

Bought some new line, fluorocarbon, loaded it onto a multiplier and thought I would save it for my light tackle fishing.

Now, being left handed, I have several multipliers all of the same model number and make. One of my favourite lines was Suffix tritanium which looks very similar to the flurocarbon..... yes you guessed it. I picked up the wrong reel and cut off all of my old line to renew it. When it come of all nice and soft like, i thought -something strange here....I cut off all of the brand new flurocarbon that had never been used...........nice line though!

kind regards

...casting without putting reel into freespool

...tripping over and collapsing my beach buddy

...not securing my beach buddy well enough and rugby tackling it in front of daystrippers

...running down a beach after I'd hooked a speedboat

...driving an hour to my mark and realising I'd left my bait bucket on the drive

and so on and so forth.

I'll have to give bowls a go. Same as tenpin isn't it? :D

Put a scantily clad blonde bimbette on a 10/0 and pendulum cast onto the speeding deck of a sppedboat which is trying to break the sound barrier to impress the other ladies in his boat.

Timing is tricky, but next time, I'll just use a harpoon gun...

Not that I'm cross (still).

Anyone seen harpoon guns on e-bay?

i find just casting out a line is enough to catch the odd jetskiing **** now and then...far less effort and far more sport, especially when 2 up.

watching them swim after the ski is funny in the channel tide as well... :D
