Hi chaps/chapesses, visiting from the coarse section as my wife has press-ganged me into a few days on the isle of wight.Are there any spots suitable to floatfished sandeel/rag at this time of year or would I be better off sneaking a beachcaster over? Grateful for any advise.

I would think you need a local for advice. From what I know, you will be spoilt for choice for good Bass marks. Wouldn't bother with a beachcaster. Spinning or bait casting ( half a mackerel on a 5/0 pennel) should do the trick.

October is prime big Bass time.
