My new Whitby charter angling boat

Thanks Alan,

Just for interest.

From memory the fish in the top picture came off Millers Hump and the box of spraggs from the Southernmost Rough.

Both easily reachable on Wildcard but a trip to the Southernmost Rough (70 miles) would need an extended trip of around 14 hours to give us time to fish all the wrecks in that area.

Here's another one of yours Mike. Some nice spraggs amongst them. You can take me there in March. :P:P

Hi Elton,

Best thing to do with your CV is bring it with you when you come for your first trip aboard "Wildcard"!

With regard to my CV. I think it helped that I have a portfolio of 960 wrecks in GPS which is about 90% more than the admiralty are aware of.

I used to go jigging commercially in the 90's on my fishing boat "This Way Up" out of Whitby. I could post a photo or two of my catches if someone could explain how to post photographs on this forum.

Hi Mike, I'm a good friend of Elton and also the editor of Boat Fishing Monthly magazine. Any chance Elton and myself could come up and jump on board for a day when you're set up so I can do a nice big feature in the mag and Elton can do one for the website?

Get in touch with Elton and he'll give you my mobile number.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Dave,

I've just spoken to Mike and we reckon if your trip is after about 20th March there will be 12 hours of daylight between 6 am to 6 pm. Mike will run you off to a set of wrecks 70 miles off and he will hit one after another. Choose any day you like to suit the weather and it will be best if your party is about 8 anglers to give plenty of room. I'll stand the cost.

This is the only other Swiftcat in the UK which is owned by Chris Dawson, a director of Swiftline Marine. She is seen in this video doing 23 knotts in heavy seas. The hull was designed by Bob Van Nelkirk of Boatloft South Africa.

Alan,

You're a tease! :)

I spoke to Dave today. Not sure if he has had a chance to get back to you - he was out at sea from Lymington, I think, and has some interesting catches for Boat Fishing Monthly, by the sounds of it. I'm not going to steal his thunder, but from what I could gather, they put back at least one potential record fish :)

What a tough job that sounds Elton, flying about fishing on other peoples boats returning record fish :o

Then the hard graft of typing reports in an office drinking coffee. Sounds very stressful
