PortaBotes are here!

 

Now here's a truly portable alternative to those puncture-prone inflatables or bulky, heavy and noisy aluminium dinghies. A 12 foot PortaBote hull folds down to just 4 inches flat and can be easily carried on your car or strapped to the side of your camper or caravan for those lake or riverside holidays. When you get to the water, it's a five minute job to open up the hull and fit the seats inside. PortaBote is the "instant" boat - just add water and go!!

 

This lightweight craft is easy to launch and row. It will also take up to a 5hp outboard engine, (on the 12 foot model) for access to more distant places. But if you want to keep the noise down for those quieter fishing, hunting or bird-watching activities, try an electric motor. All you'll hear is the water washing against the side of the hull as you gently glide along.

 

With the optional sail kit, you can teach the kids to sail! Other accessories include a sunshade, trolley, oars and locks, storage mounts and car top straps. No other portable boat will offer the same degree of versatility of use.

 

A PortaBote is virtually maintenance-free. Its hull is constructed from high impact polypropylene - a remarkably hard material impervious to sharp rocks, sand, salt and acid.
