Favourite Flies

If you were forced to use just two dry flies and two wet flies or nymphs for the rest of your life what would they be?

For me, they'd undoubtedly be a coachman and a deerhair sedge for my dry flies, plus a black buzzer and a lightly leaded shrimp for my nymphs. I don't fish dry fly only chalk streams and I've yet to find a water where one of the above haven't worked well at some time or other.

I agree with you on the shrimp. However, I only fish sal****er so my flies are probably bigger than yours.

I dont use dry flies only fast sinkers with lots of lead so that I can strip fast close to the surface or let it sink.

Cheers

My 2 dry flies would be a lunns particular and the good old grey duster.

For nymphs i would have to choose as you the black buzzer and the pheasant tail nymph.
