Hi I am a new fly flinger and only started 4 months ago. Now

the general size I catch at our lake is around 3 and no smaller than 2lb. However today, which was very succesful with 14 fish to 6.4lb on the Appetizer I caught 5/6 fish around the 1lb mark. Since

1 Nov it has gone catch/release. Is it normal to stock with smaller fish when this happens or is the manager pulling a flanker?

congratulations! you are onto a good fishery. you should expect a mix of fish sizes ,all depending on how much you pay i would expect to pay a high price to have all fish over 2lb .to make the most of your fishing try a light line rated rod 4/5 and small flies tight lines! ]:

Thans Bob, yes it's very enjoyable, I can usually manage 3/4 fish. FYI you must take home the first two if any and it's 16.00 a day at the moment. I have only the 6/7 rod but do tend to use the smallest flies the fish will take, usually a g.h.nymth. I am enjoying trying different flies to see results.

Appreciate response. Thanks Graham
