I am interested in the sex distribution of sea trout. I have a therory that they are mainly feamale. Do any other of you out there have any ideas on this subject. If female sea trout predominate then this will effect the conservation measures be effected. please let me know your thoughts

According to the statistics we compile yearly as a result of electro-fishing for sea-trout,mainly in order to strip them for eggs and milt, males predominate. The ratio is about 3...1 in favour of males. Also, in the absence of a male sea-trout brown trout milt may be used for fertilisation.
