Fish stocking or not?

I've just been to a local water today and I must say it was terrible!

 

Are the trout waters stocking fish or are they not stocking incase they get closed because of foot and mouth?

I fished Meadow Fishery near Chester on Wednesday this week and they stocked fish as normal. The water fished very well too, I might add.

 

If you're thinking of visiting, please call first - they had the first confirmed case of F&M in Cheshire yesterday, so the situation may have changed.

i am a member of a small club who stock a small lake and a stretch of River with browns, due to the almost critical circumstances of the country with F&M we have delayed our stocking till the areas we stock are cleared of F&M, but, we had also been informed from the EA that stocking had been suspended anyway untill further notice,I, like you, would like to go out but in view of the circumstances all members of my club have been notified that no fishing on any of our waters is permited till further notice, so till this is all over, i am as stuck as many others & so have had time to catch up on my fly tying,I can not speak for other clubs and fisheries but patience my friend, hopefully we might just make the Mayfly season.
