New conservation measures for Salmon in Ireland

Hi All,

 

It is a while since I last had any salmon fishing news for you, but the latest over here is

 

1. the introduction of a quota for the commercial sector based on Tag returns and historical data and

 

2. a bag limit of a fish a day for recreational anglers from Jan 1 to May 31

 

3. the continuation of the ban on the sale of rod caught fish.
