This rod often copied but never emulated, Andy Nicholson perfected this rod now over 15 years ago and it has stood the ultimate challenges and test of time, invented and designed using his 37 years of game angling experience, one hundred percent British-made and designed, The total and ultimate weapon for taking Salmon or Seatrout on shrimp, worm, spinners, spoons, devon minnow and the flying condom, plus having the advantage of being a multi user rod, there is not a freshwater specie in the UK Andy has not caught on this rod.

The blank is made to Andy’s own specifications from multi modulas high performance carbon fibre, seymo hardlon rings, strategically placed for maximum performance with the whippings and finish in silk.

The full cork butt is exactly the right length for passing across the body adorned with the latest lightweight Weyland graphite reel fitting, ideal for fixed spool and multiplier reels. The length at 11.5ft is no accident specifically designed for bait and lure control, the tip very sensitive to feel the take and flick out the lightest weight or lure. A fast action for quick pick up and total striking capabilities with all the power you need to fight that all important specimen fish. Lines as low as two pound breaking strain can be used without fear of cracking off and up to 25lbs is not a problem for this versatile rod.

There is no doubt that the Flying Condom or FC is the most universally used lure for taking Salmon, Seatrout and Trout but until now there has not been a rod specifically made and designed for the task and for this incredibly successful lure.

In the past anglers on the whole were fishing the lure using rods that simply were not designed nor suitable for the task in hand.

The 10ft Condom rod has a unique revolutionary fast tapered design and capable of casting condoms up to 60gms especially in big waters.

We specialise in designing rods specifically for identifiable angling disciplines, with this rod we have turned our attention towards the Seatrout angler who not only fishes during the day but ventures out after dark.

Again the majority of anglers have made do with single handed rods designed for Trout fishing and are just not suitable for the demands of hard fighting Seatrout.

Night fishing for Seatrout has come a long way and the use of varying types of fly lines such as slow, medium, fast sinking and Hi’ds along with large tube fly’s are now common place.
