Fly Fishing In Chile/Argentina

Unfortunately, as with so many web sites, they're geared for all-inclusive trips and give American prices. In general Americans seem prepared to pay more than most anglers but they also seem to expect a lot more comfort and facilities and they expect a guide, and guides with boats ain't cheap anywhere in the world!

 

All you can really do is search the web to try and find local sites or fishing clubs or tackle shops and the like and then mail them and hope they speak English! You could even find hotel sites in the area you want to visit and then mail them and ask if they can set you something up.

 

Newsgroups can also be usefull resources. Somewhere like rec.outdoors.fishing or rec.outdoors.fishing.fly is visited by people from all over the world and by people who have travelled the world. A post of there could be productive. t may even be worthwhile writing to the Chilean Embassy in London because they may have some information and maybe contacts as well.
