I've heard a Syon Park mentioned in the London area but don't know where it is exactly.

Bear in mind folks - the poster is a fellow Yank so he would think of anything within 50-100 miles of London as being fairly close and plenty fine for a 2 day stop over. Probably anything within a 2-3 hour train ride.

From info I have recently received Syon Park is 8 miles west of London out on the A4 road and on the opposite bank of the river Thames to Kew Gardens. I hope this will be of some help, and the best of luck.

how about walthamstow ressies or grafham water maybe a little outside his range but bed and breakfast from £20 per person within 5 mins walk from the water
