Do you mean his Upload speed Newt? I could do with that as well, these videos take ages to send up! Tried another clip earlier today, took several hours, and ended up squashed! Started life as wide screen!

 

Another one going up now, this is in HDV 720-25p. 1280X720 25.000 fps. Will see how it ends up.

 

Did you click on the HD option on the Carp one? (bottom right of video)

Thanks Dave, I have got the hang of the right format to upload HD to Utube now :) It also edits and renders the movie quite fast using the Sony Vegas, so all is good!

 

I am going to edit and make a 5 minute clip, with titles and added sound straight from the HD files. Watch this space tomorrow...it will probably take all night to upload :)

 

I still have to wait for the HD option to "get ahead" when I am watching it, but maybe (just maybe) with a longer clip I will not have to. I will see...........

put up the link Den ,10mb seems to be the thing (no idea why it takes so long to upload) the 40 from the pan is the same download size ,perhaps you are wasting effort uploading a huge file that youtube compresses out of existence????

or could it be realplayer compresses it out of existence to download it ,hmmmm?

I think I may have to do a bit more investigating of my phone line. I couldn't even get ANY utube vids to play smoothly today. Stuff that I have been watching with no trouble for several days, suddenly keep hanging.

 

I still don't understand what you mean about 10mb downloads Dave.

 

I put the vids up to be watched on utube, and it is worth the effort when they are seen to be of high quality.

Very puzzling, my PC tells me I am connected at 1.6mbs !

 

I have done several other tests and they are varying between 0.8mbs and 1.11mbs. Who do I believe?

if you use realplayer it has a download feature ,if you watch your vids on youtube you can download them ,the file is 10mb ,i can download one and mail it to you (if thats possible) for you to compare if you pm me your email addy.

speeds will vary by the minute it depends on how many people are on the phone us country dwellers have limited wires to use :D
