My, my, my. Is that a standard set of rules for a place like that? Frightening!

I'd be interested to know how you get on, especially seeing as its just up the road from me and I didn't even know it existed!

£150 per day and no fish to take home ? :(

No doubt they will succeed and prosper, but not with any of my money.

Its places like this that give game/trout fishing a bad name.

Hmmmm - that *really* sounds like encouraging Juniors doesn't it!

Just use any lure with red or orange in it.

those "salmon" will be no different than the 'bows

Failing that try a deer hair sedge or anything else resembleing a pellet!

P.S. Even wild salmon will take general trout patterns in normal to low flowing water, I fished the National trout river championships on the Cork Blackwater a couple of years ago and caught two Salmon on size 14 pheasant-tail nymphs. I was pis**d off 'cos they weren't trout  and the three guys fishing the beat for salmon were pi**ed off 'cos they couldn't catch one!

And the WEIGHING stewards were pi**ed off 'cos

I made them have a meeting to decide if the Salmon counted, The competition rules only mentioned 'river flyfishing championships' they forgot to put 'trout' into it!! and I felt like having a bit of fun and put the cat amongst the pigeons so to speak... They wouldn't weigh dace either and I couldn't catch any weighable trout only undersized ones the f****** salmon kept putting them down. :D

IF YOUR DOG THINKS YOU ARE THE BEST

Don't seek a second opinion.
