Dever Springs Trout Fishery, Hampshire

Apache

Recommended Posts

I have never fished Dever Springs in the Autumn/Winter period.

But, in the other seasons there I have found "normal" tactics to work well.

What works on your "local" water in the Autumn, should work there.

I also ring the Fishery a few days before I go, just to get the latest info. They are very helpful.

Went once, about 4 years ago - lovely clear water - ideal for stalking (like Chalk Springs at Arundel) Caught a couple of nice rainbows on small dry sedges.

However, though the WATER is ideal for stalking, stalking was made difficult the day I was there by the sheer numbers of anglers.

It may be better now (at one stage there were punch-ups over who should fish the best spots) as I believe the owners limit numbers. May be best to go mid-week, and certainly ring up beforehand to make sure there are vacancies.

Good luck!
