CANE/BAMBOO RODS

Depends on what you mean by clean it........

For most purposes a wipe down with a soapy cloth is enough.

If you are wanting to clean off all the old rings and varnish ready for a rebuild then a sharpe knife used with care keeping the blank flat on a table is the way to go don't be tempted to use sandpaper as you will take off the edges and ruin the blank.

"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical

minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which

holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd

by the clean end"

HI AL AND THANKS,

I HAVE BOUGHT TWO RODS,ONE A SPLIT CANE FOR £5.00 AND THE OTHER APPEARS TO BE A BAMBOO FOR £20.00.I DOUBT IF I WILL USE THESE RODS BUT I WOULD LIKE TO CLEAN THEM UP AS THEY WOULD MAKE NICE FOCAL POINTS.THEY ARE IN A PRETTY DIRTY STATE SO I WELCOME YOUR ADVISE.INCIDENTALLY,THE BAMBOO HAS RINGS THAT COLLAPSE (INTENTIONALLY) WHEN NOT IN USE.

CHEERS

PETER
