The roads the worst they've been in part of Surrey this evening, and I've been driving every day including Monday with over 12" of snow, and I live on a hill! No grip on some roads even on the flat at 1mph and minimal revs! I love it, but you gotta watch out for the others.

WTF is that?????

It wasn't Derwentwater really. ;)

It is the coldest in Antarctica that it has been in decades

Icebergs in the area sometimes have stripes, formed by layers of snow that react to different conditions.

Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet fills up with

meltwater and freezes so quickly that no bubbles form.

When an iceberg falls into the sea, a layer of salty seawater can freeze to the

underside. If this is rich in algae, it can form a green stripe.

Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up when the

ice sheet grinds downhill towards the sea.

It looked like an iceberg, but knew you couldn't have an iceberg that deep in a UK lake! Gullible? Me? :whistling:

Beautiful day today, sunshine, blue sky and 2-3ft of snow. I have just spent 2 hours digging just to get a car out.

We are going to try to make it to the shops as the forecast is for more heavy snow tonight so we could be stuck for a few days and supplys are running short. :D
