Just back from my holidays in Cornwall.

Had a bash at fly fishing which I havnt done for several years.

 

Took two rainbows on a dry fly which looked a bit like a blow fly.

Two on a black wet fly with gold wrapped round it and a metal gold head, also had six short black legs.

And two on a nymph that looked like the pink shrimps I could see in the margins.

 

All six averaged approx 4lb (not weighed, catch and release) and gave me some great sport.

Two jumped clear of thew water a few times!!!!!

 

I do not know what the patterns of the flies were called, any ideas?

 

Anyway, I will hopefully have another bash asap if I can find a catch and release water nearby

as this is a great way of game fishing without worrying about fish limits.

Anyone know any catch and release waters in Suffolk where you can also hire gear?
