A selection of small lures to pull will help, but for the small fisheries I find the best methods are small nymphs and buzzers fished almost static. Some dry fly action can be had too.The fishery will also have some suitable flies for sale normally

Welcome to the fold !

Suggest you read thru the Just Started, How many flies, Timing, venues and wont take the fly threads.

The answers to Greg's questions are key to receiving the right answers.

Con,

I would suggest that you try size 10 fritz lures in black or orange. This would hopefully get you some fish, and once your confidence is up try some of the more traditional flies. If you are fishing small lakes or reservoirs, most have either tickets offices or shops on site to ask whats best. Be guided by their advice and experience.
