i read in the glasgow herald today that a doctor and professor at glasgow uni and edinburgh uni have found that fish "do have the capacity for pain perception and suffering.We suggest there is an urgent need for the developement of fish welfare guidlines."

I think it has been well established that it is very easy to get a doctor or scientist to support almost any propaganda exercise you care to mention.

English as tuppence, changing yet changeless as canal water, nestling in green nowhere, armoured and effete, bold flag-bearer, lotus-fed Miss Havishambling, opsimath and eremite, feudal, still reactionary, Rawlinson End.

This is a repeat of the Seddon debate. Looks like they are seeking new impetus to the non-story!

 

The orginal research paper was fully cut to shreds by answers from the American scientist, Dr Rose.

 

Run a search and you should find the relevant threads.
