Looks like a simple idea, and pretty cheap to manufacture. They might be pricing themselves a bit too high. Unless there is some real cleverness there that isn't immediately obvious, it seems to me that it would be pretty easy to make your own.

 

I thought the price to be OK especialy when you take into account time, materials, manufacturing costs, marketing, wholesale etc

 

I think biggest fear is the loss of the dvice, something that I have been considering as to how to attach a rotten link to it for use over roughish ground.

I am sure with a bit of addaptation this would be reasonably simple to achieve.

i've found them effective & simple to use.

clean ground only though, too expensive to loose 1/2 a dozen on rocks.
