Hardy Viscount 140 Reel.

Hiya, I'm not on here too often, but anyway. I have just put a Hardy Viscount 140 fly reel on Ebay,and yesterday bought 3 spare spools to go with it. Tried them on the reel, they dont fit, but the boxes def say Viscount 140,and they look almost the same, size etc. Can anyone tell me if there is an older model 140 that these spools would fit, the boxes do look a bit old.

There were two editions of the 140 (possably 3) the first edition was made in britain, the second in south africa. The south african reel had spools made of magnesium , whilst the brit one had spools of aluminum . Ill search my books and see if I can find dates etc.
