No-fail flies

If you were restricted to just 3 flies, fishing small waters for Rainbows, and you had to catch to survive, which 3 flies would you choose :confused:

Mind you... I'd probably starve, but I'd enjoy it ;-)

 

If I was looking just to slaughter fish - then the following:

 

Small bucktail and white marabou clouser with a fair bit of gold flash in it

Yellow and white fritz bunny leech

Minkie

 

Would probably be more likely to keep body and soul together - but then I'd probably top myself out of boredom after a week.

IF Breamagain we responding it would be Damsel, Damsel, Damsel.

 

For myself . . Cove's Pheasant Tail, Black Spider and any small black buzzer.

 

Dunc85 . . sight bob, . ..Oh shame . . use a large Dry or a Competition size Muddler Minnow. Yet to see a sight bob taken but i'm sure it happened.

Andrew, agree about the site bob. Having something sitting on the water without a hook in it seems a waste

Usually use a floating fry or a bit of wool tied to a hook. And yes they do take it.
