Gogga was a great character, have met with Jamie before at an Orvis meet. How did you manage to catch I sadly blanked and was ribbed all the way home, Frank and Johnny managed 4 Pollack between them.

 

Did you fish a different mark on Sunday?

I fished at 4 different spots over the weekend. Didn't blank at any of them! As to why I caught, it must be my pheromones , as it certainly wasn't the fly as each fish took something different.

 

I ended the weekend with 13 Bass ( to 6lb ), 4 Pollock and 5 Scad.

That's it I'm taking my Yak next year, then we'll see who catches.

 

Just found a rod making kit for $69, going to build myself a 3 or 4 weight, see how I get on and then buy a Sage, fancy using Bamboo Burl as a handle on the Sage, anyone know of a good supplier?

Try Andy Dear at Lamar reel seats, he does exotic cork handles.

There are much better rod blanks than Sage and probably for a lot less money IMO
