But is it?? If these rods had no identification on them could you really tell the difference between the modern cheap rod and the Hardys and Sages?

I have been using/evaluating, shall we say a well known make of rod for the last year, it's just gone on the market for around £250. Cost price around £30. Nice rod but! :headhurt:

Colin

I'm aware of the cost price of rods and £30 seems correct for the rod you describe.

But I believe that yes, you can tell the difference between a £50 rod and a £300 rod. BUT - you probably couldn't tell the difference between a £300 and £600 rod. There is a stage at which the difference is minimal - I'd suggest it's around £125-£150

Does anyone know where I can buy ,new or second hand, Hardy ultralite rods at reasonable prices

Thanks

Hi,

I am new to this forum and saw that you were looking for an Ultralite.I realise you posted last October but I am considering selling mine if you or anyone else is interested. It is a 9'......no.6 line weight......two piece. In good condition with rod bag and blue aluminium rod tube.

Used only a handful of times as I usually take my travel rod to Scotland and rarely fish other than this.

I am based in London but can post.

I can also email photos if required.

Contact Duncan: 07980 740202 or duncan@dkillin.wanadoo.co.uk

Regards.
