Just thought i,d take time out to say hello and am looking forward to joining in with you peeps in sharing knowledge and learning more about the great hobby of carp fishing . I would also like to thank Elton for the welcme private message.

I,m a brit who,s been living in Holland for about 14 years and have been carp fishing for 4 years after a lay off of 5 years (was all-rounder before ).I,m not a commercial water man but like to fish 2 waters a year ,one difficult and one easy .

I have a big respect for the "Brit carpers '

as you lads are more adaptable to situations and willing to try out different methods in one sesh than your European mates .My favourite type of carpin is observing and locating ,pre-baiting followed by a three or four day sesh . depending on the water and time of year the pre baiting is anywhere between 4 days and 3 weeks . conseqeuntly i use home made boillies mainly from my own recipie and a bit of help from Bill Cottam . My rigs are allways so simple as possible.

This year has been my best so far and in the first week of June managed to catch 3 thirty,s in a 4 day sesh ( after 12 blanks !!)

they were all commons and were 39-1/2,34-3 and 30 dead (lbs not kilo,s ha ha )

Anyway so much for the intro lets get on with the show and discussing the problems that we all have ,tight lines folks and looking forward to meeting you all on line

Hello Mc Carp and as said by others, "Welcome". I'm a new member of this forum too - as well as being new to carp fishing - and already have had good comments to my questions and feel this will be a great place to learn and blow off a bit of steam occasionally too!

....Here's to swimming with bow-legged women....
