Help. Information please. AVA alarms

I have just bought a boxed presentation set of 3 alarms and sounder box and leads made by AVA. Does anybody know anything about these and are they worth much to sell? They are over 6 years old and in gwo.

Are they the stainless steel ones?

Hi Budgie. Yes, they are S/Steel backed and the sounder box is fitted with an alarm so when 1 of the alarms is switched off the sounder box goes off very loudly.

From what I remember the AVA alarms became very popular in the early 90's.What initially brought them in to view was the demonstration that was carried out at several of the Carp shows.At the start an alarm would be put in bucket of water and at the end of the show pulled out and it would still work.A lot of alarms of this time were very subseptable to water ingress.They were not cheap and most people I knew who had them brought them in a presentation style box as you describe.Unfortunately they fell from grace quite quickly.I can not remember the exact reason why but people were having a lot of problems with them.Sorry I cant remember the exact details.
