I've just puked a wee bit and swallowed it again. Yeuchh. Our tubular friend and part-time village idiot, Robson Green has decided to come back on telly, only this time, he's even got some stupid Girls Aloud-esque moves to go along with his his new nonsense. I thought we had made it clear this guy was menace to all that's good in fishing. He's like a bad bout of diarrhoea. You think it's gone and then it comes back with vengeance and in new colours.

He might be brand new. I don't know the chap but I do know he isn't a TV angler by any stretch of the imagination.

i watched one episode where he was with some american dude and a rifle on a boat, guy with gun boasting how much of an excellent marksman he was he then went on to take a shot at a moorhen (swamp chicken i think he called it) im prety sure he got it but couldnt get it again, poor thing was all over the place exactly like an injured animal would do. it just didnt look natural he shrugged it off and went about bow fishing...

 

quickly changed the channel to something decent it was pure and utter kack.

 

now if the last series wasnt extreme enough i wonder what this series is going to be like, i only imagine the worst.

Saw one where he was beach fishing abroad somewhere & was given a rod & multiplier reel. After 2 attempts at casting without his thumb on the spool resulted in the inevitable massive birds nests, which were picked, or cut out by his guide, he asked for a "proper" reel and they had to get him a big fixed spool.

 

Not many fishing programmes I choose not to watch, but his annoying over acting is a bit too much.

Ah yes, that's the one! The supposedly conservation-minded redneck with his crazy pot-shot ways. That was the very episode I gave up on too. Was that the same one where they went to get carp with bows and arrows and ended up making a meal of a little gar....which they were supposed to be conserving?
