Flash Player

I recently upgraded to IE8 and it is a lot faster, however Flash Player will not work.

 

Tried down loading and it tells me it has successfully installed it but nothing plays now, Utube, BBC Live etc. Tried the trouble shoot still not working bit lost as to where to go next HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

Firefox does have it's own little foibles, my web building activities are curtailed

 

This one is real strange, I have got over this type of problem before by down loading and saving, then installing. But the Flash file wants to do it all in one foul swoop.

After uninstalling all Adobe add-ins, goto Tools->InternetOptions->Security

Not tried it myself though (IE8).

I manage to sort it out in the end, I down loaded the file from FileHippo, it was a security problem which Adobe did not seem able to get around despite dropping to zero security. FileHippo did it without dropping security the problem was a PC security one not a browser one.

 

IE 8 is far faster and a number of little bits have been sorted very well.

Far faster that what, IE7? I haven't looked at IE8 yet, and you're the first person I've heard talk about it.

I used IE8 for a while a couple of months back and while it has some nice features it conflicted with some other software i was running and so as it is a beta version i binned it and went back to ie7 & firefox.
