Well what a change in the weather from last week. It rained all day Saturday which was hard going for the anglers who had to pack up there gear and the anglers who arrived to setup. The rain continued on/of until Thursday when it eventually broke with some sunshine. 8)

But that did not stop the fish feeding & boy did they feed for a couple of English anglers, in total between them Mark had 24 carp with 5 of them being different 40's up to 45lb 6oz and 9 different 30's. Mick had 37 carp with 20 differerent 30's to 39lb. two very happy anglers. :D

We had two Dutch anglers also on the North Lake who would have fared better if they put a bit more bait in.

5 x 41lb 3oz to 45lb 6oz

9 x 36lb to 39lb

Week of 2nd to 9th May.

A bit of an up and down week with the carp starting to spawn then stopping & starting....

Mixed with the weather going from rain to hot and sunny then back to rain. The carp did not know what they were doing.

We had one angler on the jolly pad lake who manage to entice 10 carp on the bank and lost 2.

We had a group of 5 anglers on the North Lake who suffered the most with the spawning and by Wednesday we offered to move them on to Simon's Lake as Matt & I had done a couple of hours fishing on there on Tuesday and caught 17 carp up to 30lbs & then I did Tuesday night from 9pm to 1am as by then I was kanckered from all the hauling I had around 15 carp to 34lbs.

The 5 lads who moved on to Simons lake only fished with either 1 or 2 rods & only fished until it got dark as the action was frantic on our newly opened runs water.

The Results:

Jolly Pad Lake:

40lb, 44lb & 45lb

30lb 8oz, 31lb, 32lb, 34lb, 36lb, 36lb 50z, 36lb 8oz
