Bait Boats

This has probably been asked before, but I wouldn't know since im only new!

But what are peoples opinions on bait boats?

great for people who can't cast

or want to deliver tinnies to their mates on the other side of the lake

Great also for reaching the carp if the are further away than you can cast!

 

You may be able to cast 120 metres, but if they are 150 metres away, you don't stand much of a chance!

Also very good for provoking an irate response from techniphobic, "well we've always done it this way", carpers and worth having for that reason alone.

 

The fact that they can be useful in some situations is a bonus.

i honestly thinck there great there for people who want to get a quality fishing spot where its is hard 2 get on top like when its 100 yds out like sandbars gravel bars ledges and also gettin a good bed of bait down me and my friend use a viper on are local mere witch is briliant for places likes that carnt fail..... i also carnt understand wy they cost more than a real boat aswell because there prety empty inside except the battery

I am seriously considering getting one because, all of the really good spots were I fish are too far to be able to cast.

 

Has anyone come accross the badger bait boat? I like the look of it as I do not want to spend the earth!

I've heard nothing but bad reports on the badger boat,i use the procat after getting rid of the microcat and if you have the dosh for one it's the one to go for.

there are lots of bargains this time of year at the back of the carp monthly's

 

If you are going to invest in a bait boat go for quality mate rather than budget models, more economical in the long run.

Mate of mine, used a bait boat to pour sacks of gravel in to his club lake once to create a feeding area as the fish where`nt being caught. Rather a novel use of a bait boat. He still didnt catch any fish
