Dunno if it has actually happened but I'm told the US made smart cast is illegal to use in the UK (operates on some sort of restricted frequency) so I suppose you could have some problems if anyone noticed.

Hi christian,

Not sure which type you are going for but a word of warning, the one I tried was only any good within a 30 yard casting range, review Here

With regard to Bloodworm, I do fish with bloodworm products and have done quite well with them. You can now get almost anything with bloodworm in, and can even get frozen blocks of bloodworm itself. The one thing I have noticed is that whilst it is a natural part of their diet, it works much better when used in an area of the lake where there is actually real bloodworm present.

Cheers…

frequency? if i had one i wouldn't bother about someone approaching me with a detecter, for crying out loud this is THE UK not USA ..be honest who the f... would ask you to wind in your silly smart cast and say ahhhh USA frequency I must report, prosecute and or confiscate...deary me

Christian, Bloodworm products IMO are the dogs preverbials if, as Julian says you can latch onto a natural feeding spot, or have loads of time to do a prebaiting campaign ....(just my oppinion)

I recently had 2lb less short of my pb. on these babies which incidently was the lake record, however, I did prebait a margin area on frozen bloodworm for 3 days, and fished the fouth day on a bloodworm cocktail in a patch that was cleared from feeding fish, not all carp I hasten to add but alas a man made feeding spot....I was well chuffed I can tell you

bloodworm baits and naturals (get on it is my advice especially over the next 6 week or so)
