hi, following on from another thread, relating to frozen/ready mades.

 

can any one give me some info/help with making my own boilies.

i,m gonna give it a go, but havent a clue as to where to start.

wot do i need?

ingredients/equipment etc etc etc etc etc

Could try these ohterry i cant remeber where i found them so i cant credit the author and had them sat on my computer for ages as was gonna try them myself

 

Winter mix

3oz CLO

3oz Soya Flour

2oz Semolina

2oz Vitamealo

2oz 90 mesh Acid casein

2oz 90 Mesh Rennet casein

1oz Whey protein

1oz Egg Albumen Works out at £3.18 a kilo

 

Fishmeal mix

4oz Fishmeal

3oz CLO

4oz Semolina

2oz Vitamealo

2oz Soya Flour

.5oz 90 Mesh Acid casein

.5oz Whey protein Works out at £1.34 a kilo

 

Seed mix

3oz CLO

3oz Soya Flour

2oz CC Megablend

2oz Semolina

2oz Vitamealo

1oz Wheat Gluten

1oz Egg Albumen

1oz Groung Tigers

1oz Ground Hemp Works out at £1.58 a kilo

 

High Protein mix

3oz CLO

1oz 90 Mesh Acid casein

1oz 90 Mesh Rennet casein

1oz Calcium casinate

1oz Whey protein

2oz Supergold 60

1oz Pre-digested Fishmeal

2oz LT-94 Fishmeal

2oz Maize Flour

2oz Egg Albumen Works out at £3.32 a kilo

 

Flavour Carrier mix

3oz Soya Flour

3oz Maize Flour

3oz CLO

3oz Semolina

2oz Vitamealo

1oz Wheat Gluten

1oz Egg Albumen Works out at £1.40 a kilo

and you can get some base mixes and other stuff from here

failing that just use spam1.gif

With regard to making them just mix all the dry stuff together first then add liquids(colours and flavours) until you get a non sticky paste(which you can also use as bait), then roll into the size you want, using your hands if you havent got a sausage gun and rolling board, then boil them until you get the hardness you want.

Thats basically it

Wouldnt it be easier to do liquids first then add eggs and finally dry stuff then you know your flavours and attractors are mixed well before you add the dry?

I have often wondered as to wether its really worth the agro of making my own bait again, we used to do it in the late 70's early 80's but nowadays even the cheapest shop bought baits are designed by people far far more knowledgable than i.

 

Mind you i can still remember the buzz of catching carp on a bait we had created
