Like Julian says, loads of glugs and dips that can boost flavour if needed, as regards to going hard, well, we used to put broken egg shells into our base mix giving it an extra crunch factor. Carp love snails very hard?

have you tried cutting one in half and hair rigging it like that ...)(.....if you see what i mean so the two 'insides' are at the top and bottom, with the curves of the outside facing each other.

 

i havent explained it very well, but hopefully you'll see what i mean

its just the moisture coming out of them,

 

If you air dry them thoroughly thay will last longer similar to a shelf life but, frozen boilies have no preservatives and will become mouldy within a week. I tend to buy just enough to last me on a session. If I go to France for a week for instance I will air dry 3 days supply and keep 4 days frozen defrosting as and when ness..
