Rudd, what you describe is the Chub Reflex. It comes with the 4 screw point storm poles you mention.

The only difference between the JRC and the Chub is the name printed on the side.

J.S

Chub reflex system

Jrc stealth system plus

Nash profile special

all look the same and do the same.

But the price difference :

Chum 169.00

Jrc 99.00

Nash 124.99

these are cheapest I have found

But would you adam and eve it, read ants reply with regards to england at 99.00 then JS reply and opened my bottom draw where there is a copy of april 19th's AM (only fish mag at airport on way to france!!!)

J and K oxon, jrc stealth 99.00

Gave them a bell and enquired about above with full set of 4 jrc screw point heavy duty poles.

Full set of poles would be 30.00

Postage is 5.00

In the end after hagling about this and that :

JRC stealth brolly plus, full set of heavy duty jrc screw point poles, postage and will have the product tuesday :

129.00

I am more than happy with that as shopping around I can only find a decent full set of storm poles (with screw points) for 25.00 not including postage.

My local shop (that will only do the jrc brolly system for 135 or a similar unnamed copy complete with set of unnamed cheap poles for 130) even though I try to support them where possible have lost out.

Wordbender, if you ever read this.

Saw your thread on another site about setting yours up in the dining room!!!!!!!!!!!!

Class.

j_s:

You didn't want a second hand Chub Reflex system then     Used at the most about 15 times, bought it last summer.

quote:

Rudd, I have a Chub Reflex System Brolly which as far as I know is exactly the same apart from the name mate.

See link for info Chub Reflex Brolly

Sorry JS, from what you replied I thought you were pointing me in the direction of the Chub system as you had one and rated it. You never actually told me you were flogging it!!!!!!!!!!

Oh well, communication breakdown!!!!!!!

Do I dare ask how much you wanted with approx postage included??????????

With my reflex i got 2 short,2 long storm poles & a full set of screw type bivvy pegs aswell as the cross tension bar,,Still cheaper than anywhere else.

As i also stated there was one used twice for £90 on tackle trader.

In all honesty i'm not sure, around £90, P & P would depend on where the person lived as it's not easy to sort it out for something so big, perhaps £90 all in to get the sale.

AM I NOT A HAPPY BUNNY

Ordered the system from Jand K Friday 6th and they told me it would be delivered on tuesday 10th.

Tuesday 10th, Jand K ring me to tell me not in stock.

I am p!ssed off they didnt tell me friday so I tell them where to shove it and cancel order.

Wickford angling do me same deal yesterday and send off next day delivery.

received delivery today with WRONG (jrc stealth brolly NOT stealth brolly plus) brolly and WRONG storm poles (phillips spiked NOT jrc with power points).

Wickford say they dont stock the one they have sent me and jrc have sent them the wrong ones.

He will ring me once he has the one I want in stock and will pick up the wrong one when he delivers the right one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know jrc do not have them in stock as I have spoken to them, neither of the four shops doing them for 99 quid have them in stock as they are waiting on Jrc.

Still sitting here extremly ****** off

Now might be the time to look at the new JRC STI Dave Lane brolly for £120 from Englandangling.co.uk mate.

If it came out this time last year I would have had this one, no doubt about it, although would like to see it set up first :)

J.s it does look good but does not have a front (any panels) and you may as well spend an extra 25quid and get a proper sti bivvie.

It will be ok for summer overnighting and day sessions no doubt about it.

Also "Limited overwraps available in July"

Limited? how many is that then and at what cost?

At least with the stealth brolly plus I can use it as a brolly or bivvie (with front panels on)and know that if I really want I can get the overwrap designed for the system for less than 70 quid and convert it into a twin skin.

A mate of mine who is well into his carping had been telling me to get a 'proper bivvie' rather than the stealth plus until last night.

He saw one set up and in use and asked to have a good look at it - he can now see why it appeals to me and my style of angling.

Anyway - between wickford angling, JRC and myself hassling them they have agreed to dispatch one direct from jrc as soon as they unload them from the container (which is probably within a mile radius of where I am sitting on Felixstowe dock!!!) to myself on Felixstowe dock and pick up the wrong one in the right box!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should happen on Tuesday but who knows.
