chesters1 1576
Look out, there's a bailiff about! Click here to view the full article i'v found 2 anglers already with last years permit ,bugger knows if they have a valid license Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies! There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle Mathew 4:19 Grangers law : anything i say will turn out the opposite or not happen at all! Steve Walker 941
"They also sport a barcode, making it possible to verify licences on the riverbank." Welcome to the latter part of the 20th century! Now all they need to do is give me a long-lasting plastic version and offer me a monthly direct debit option, and I'll never have to think about licences again!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

MordenMike 2
Glad to hear that they'll be out and about....but why give the warning?
Steve Walker 941
Because they don't want to catch anyone? (i.e. they want everyone to buy a licence!)
ColinW 0
What they want is to be out and about on the Bank Holidays so that they get paid double time; or am I getting too cynical? I had to laugh at the idea that a waterproof licence is beneficial to us anglers. Why? This year's, like who knows how many before, has never been taken out of my wallet since I got it. On the subject of encouraging people to buy a licence, I've never understood why commercial fishery owners are not held at least partly responsible if anglers fish without a licence. Several people got done at my "local" last year who should, in my mind, have been checked by the owner (he does nothing else!)
Dick Dastardly 88
If only! Ive heard it all before! Lets start a book on how many of us are actually checked over the Easter weekend? And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
Pescador Pablo 0
I've had to buy a licence for the last 42 years, and hve been checked 6 times. Colin, quite right!! No licence..... No day ticket
