I was reading abut this yesterday..........what a great idea! I wouldnt want to use one around our current city streets though given the numpties in their giant SUV's. A radical rethink of city design is required before such concepts take off IMO.

Sorry to be pedantic, but the picture in today's Metro shows clearly that it has 6 wheels - albeit that 4 of them are little better than castors to avoid damage when going up and down pavements.

 

They're made by Segway who produced the preeedecessor to this vehicle. I really dislike them as vehicles for public pavements, but have seen television companies use them for camera crew and commentators to get around golf courses - and in that environment they are more than useful.

You really shouldn't be showing that car - the government will cut the size of the parking spaces in order to double the amount of meters...and revenue!!
