confused

had carp topping all over my swim all day today, noone was getting takes or liners so i tried a zig at various depths through out late afternoon and evening. still no signs of fish on the lines or baits

 

any ideas?

Spawning maybe? Was there much activity along the margins?

One very good reason not to fish for them while they are spawning is, well put it this way if I had to wait a whole year for a jump I think I could miss out on the munch for one day!

 

However if you can time it right, after they have finished up they will be super duper hungry!

ok thanks, didnt try a surface bait as it wasnt that warm, with a fair breeze and raining.

there was alot of activity on one banks margin, with fish boshing very frequently at the same swims.

 

how long does spawining generally last from start to finish?
