hi ferret this is nothing new they have been doing it in the states for years now .i have seen them a few yrs back they get a pair of steps stand on em and shoot the carp as they swim about. it is quite soul distroying to see a uncaught 20 or 30lber with a big cross bow bolt in her left to die. but this is what ive come to expect from a country which needs armour peirceing bullets to hunt deer. i mean you realy see a lot of deer walkin around in flack jackets dont you!lets just hope the local kossavans dont get any new ideas of em .

I agree. Terrible but accepted by a select few. It isn't uncommon to see them caught and thrown on the bank in America where they are thought of as trash fish. Equivalent to the way pike have been treated here in the UK.

Only curious but where did this come from? Most states only allow specific types of ammunition. Crossbows typically allowed only for the disabled. Each state has it's own laws and quite different from its neighbor.

Sadly the most common way of "fishing" for one of my favourite species -Alligator Gar.Due to their habbit of laying motionless at the surface and "gulping" air they present an easy target.Often when they are brought close enough alongside the boat they get a .45 cal lead injection to!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!
