life moves on, since starting anglers net I've been married, moved house 3 times, adopted my first dog, had my first child (poppy was born 7 weeks ago), moved from being a trainee solicitor to being a partner in a law firm, lost my dad, lost good friends, made dozens of new friends, become secretary of a fishing club, caught my first sea trout, salmon and pike, taken up fly fishing and many many things...............and through all of them Anglers net has been a constant companion. There have been times when I've been quiet on here, times when I've been active, but i've always been able to come on here, cheer up, sometimes get upset when friends are having problems but it's been here and long may that continue...cheers to everyone involved but particularly to Elton, the Mods and to Alan's spirit, he helped make this place special for me too.

I'm one of those who sent my good wishes at little past midnight on the NF forum. But I'm not as grumpy as Greg so I'll do it twice.

 

I was late coming into the cyber world, and, because of various personal reasons, my fishing sessions had dwindled to a handful a year.

When I did get on on the 'net, one of my first 'googles' was angling. I 'lurked' on a few sights, but AN was the one that stood out, and I joined. (KenL was the first person that 'spoke' to me).

 

In the last 3+ years I have made many (what I can hopefully call) friends. I've never met any of you in person, but have chatted on (and off) line with a few. I have been helped, and hopefully given help when the need arose. But mainly AN has kept me very much in touch with the angling world that I love, and in doing so, has helped me more than any of you will ever know.

 

A big Happy 10th Birthday to Anglersnet,

 

A bigger congratulations and thank you, to Elton and the team.

 

And a massive thank you to all the members I've 'met' during the time I've been a member.

Congrats on the tenth anniversary Elton. I know you struggled with the finances early on, but you persevered, and made this site a special place for all of us.
