American Flag - done in all flowers

Recommended Posts

In Europe, we don't go in for the flags but we do grow a fair few flowers.

These are tulips.

It won't be long before it is illegal to fly the nation's flag in the UK thanks to the continual bleating of ethnic minorities.

A rubbishy notion put about by alarmist sections of the media, and re-bleated by the flock who follow it.

Where that kind of thing has happened (and it has), the culprits have not been ethnic minorities, but middle class white professionals getting offended on their behalf. Taking offence on behalf of others is a very British trait, sadly.

Yes, I hear that it has happened, and is attributed to the type of people you state Steve. It is sad, so is the overstated knocking of our nation.

our nation? which ones that then ,our country (england in my case) dare not stand up and show the flag in/on many occasions incase it causes offence  the only time you see english flags are in the world cup and on the whole associated with those that are not the best examples of englishness.

as for "nation" if you mean "UK" or Great Britain thats long gone the other countries have their finger on their own pulses and pass laws and along with the EU ones are as near independent as you can get bar going the whole hog but that means the England handouts would cease ;)

"England" wont exist until we rid ourselves of foreign MP's bolstering the govs votes (the midlothian effect) along with the lack of any "english" anything ( England only exists on maps ,we have no parliament nor a constitution ) means england in reality doesnt exist

i cant see how the south (in the USA) lets anyone show the stars and stripes of the north! they lost hundreds of thousands of men trying to keep their states out of "foreign" rule.i wonder what the world would be like with a divided USA ??

some will say its all in the past ,rubbish all those old resentments are just under the surface waiting for a trigger ,remember your past enemies they are sure to become your future ones ,we in England should be wary of everyone ;)

Utter balderdash. It was happening when I lived in the UK 33 years ago.

Perhaps you lived in a different Britain, one of your own imagination? I know that there will be 3 union flags flying over town today, as they do every day. I see them everywhere, I carry my digital camera in my bag and will photograph them for you. The problem as you present it is way overstated by whining alarmists. Sadly they all don't follow your example and bugger off to live somewhere else.
