Our town is getting ever more populer. Shame is the damn council didnt think about where they wer gonna put everyone when they started promoting the place. Tall ships are calling in July. It's gonna be a nightmare.

In Ireland they tend to refer to tourists as "Blow Ins"

No "Blow ins" are non residents who have lived in the area for 30 odd years.

Tourists are called "Tourists"

Up our way it tends to be 'trippers', or 'effing Londoners ' Naturelly I don't personally use the second term! But it is a remarkable coincidence in that if there is a problem with a tripper then that person does tend to come from London !
