Even the police fall for some of these hoaxes. My hospital trust's internal message board carried a hoax virus warning a while ago. When I pointed it out to the webmaster and the security manager (himself an ex-copper), they said "But it came from the local police..." :rolleyes:

I thought it was a bit obvious that this one was a hoax. If you could get a virus onto a phone (not impossibe) why restrict yourself to onlky phoning ONE entry in the phonebook? I'd dial the lot me.

ooops, not having a good day just recieved an e-mail back from my communications manager, that in future he would appreciate that if an oversite on his part has occured, he would like to have a single e-mail addressed to him, & not sent to every employee of the company!

 

Oh joys of clicking on reply too:-

they dont work on my phone or if they do its hardly worth it ,i put a fiver on it in april 2004 and i have £1.59 left ,blimey its getting out of hand

keep getting texts from orange telling me i can have a "great deal" ,i think they wont beat the one i have :D

Chesters it never ceases to amaze me how you can just throw good money after bad on endless chit chat on your mobile phone. Its no wonder you have spent so much on your pay as you go phone, I suggest you switch to video phoning imediately!! :D:D
