As an old fart now (44) grew up M.J's music and a so called strange traits ie.(bubble's, oxeygen chamber, plastic surgery),etc.some i thought was publicity. Alleged child molestation was never proven in court and first case Jordan Chandler episode was no more than money extortion from the most famous musician in the world.

Whatever people thought of the man you can not take away the music and dance

Dance wise no one could ever come close. And the video's are sublime and pure entertainment

that's what he should be rembered for not the allegations.

I think Michael Jackson will become more famous than Elvis since he died.

concentrate for the moment: feel. don't think.

Maybe. I've always thought that the greatest career move Elvis ever made was his own death. It made him an overnight legend, like James Dean.

Help me understand something. Why is it that famous people such as this garner so much attention to the point that they are very nearly worshipped? For example, when John Kennedy Jr crashed his plane some years ago there was a huge outpouring of grief and media B.S. for perhaps two weeks. Meanwhile, a commercial airliner crashed at about the same time with great loss of life and quickly exited from the front pages of the press. So. WTF was that all about?

It's the celebrity thing, again. Kennedy...people have heard the name. Plain crash, names of passengers are simply too many for the average person to comprehend.

Sad, but true.

the chap in question lied when questioned but then made money "outing" himself in a bog in a "joke" song ,neither can play both games but some do ,most survive but blame the press but never hesitate in helping the press make the allegations .All news is good news as the saying almost says.

the press get it wrong but as we see retractions are far rarer than columns in the press ;)

i'm all for press freedom if they F up they get hit hard in the pocket but without the press the crooks get away with anything they please as we see with the MP's little earners.

jackson especially got press inches with his oddness did he pull his socks up and become respectable to avoid bad press no he went far further ,if you appear mental then your going to be called it.

he played the press (or rather his media people did) just as the press sold copy about him and his odd behaviour

Odd maybe, different yes, talented yes , but arn't we all a bit odd Chesters, perhaps we are a bit differnt, but to who, who is the role model we should all conform to? Would that be the likes of you? :D

Pull your socks up man!! :o

its just mass hysteria ,they dont know the dead person so its not genuine mourning as it would be for a family member so only the mentally afflicted would publicly mourn a stranger.

i find it sickening this modern sign of weakness or is it foreign influences being used today in our society?

he danced! he sang! he died! so what

mourning is done in private only then is it real

i was talking about how the press feed off "celebs" and vice versa i cannot see why my socks need pulling up? if jackson wished to avoid bad press then he would have avoided creating it surely ,he didnt! so by not doing so was hoisted by his own petard.

it wasnt just jackson he was brain beffuddled and barely human but his press office gettting column inches out of his aberrations ,probably jackson had no talent except to follow direction nothing more than a puppet to a media production company? just a rather bad actor?

Perhaps, to an extent at least. Or maybe it is who is the subject of the alleged 'behaviour', for example it seems that Michael Jackson's memory is going to be dogged with his alleged attraction to children, wheras the same does not appear to be the case with a singer of similar popularity standing. Elvis Presley's alleged orientation was towards female children, Michaels Jackson's towards males. Yet one hardly ever hears the type of silly schoolyard 'jokes', which have been posted in these pages, applied to Presley.

Hmm. The jokes seem very similar to those aimed at Gary Glitter, who is orientated towards young girls. In Jackson's case, the gender of the alleged victims may well be an aggravating factor for some people, but the core of the allegations and primary cause of outrage was paedophilia.

In the past, jackson has been subjected to multi-million dollar settlements with the families of boys who claimed he had abused them. Thats plural btw. Soft touch?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

James Delingpole in today's Times sums him up perfectly:

"And who’d want to try stuff like the moon walk anyway? No self-respecting teenager, that’s for sure. The very last person you want to emulate is some facially reconstructed lady boy who prances about making high-pitched squeals while scratching his crotch like some gibbon with a bad case of fleas."
