I have heard of it and many of the people that have used it ( mainly abroad ) say its very strong.

Never used it, but I've heard it's good. A lot of charter boat captains use it. Personally I like Ande and Maxima.

Which Ande line do you use?

 

BTW, Maxima doesn't perform at all well according to the surfeit of lab test data and in-the-field use comments that I've got and/or read .. re: Chameleon anyway. I used to use the old original Maxima when I was a lad and there was only more expensive Perlon around

 

Maxima Chameleon isn't cheap, either.

Ande Backcountry. I use Maxima Ultragreen for river fishing, typically 4 or 6 lb test. I used to use Trilene, which broke easily, then switched to Maxima, which does not.

 

How about you DG...what's your favorite mono? And do you ever used braided "superlines"?

Cant comment then DG.Used AN40 once on a trip and thought it was pants so never tried any others from the same stable.

Trilene.

Used to used maxima but after half a season it felt rough when you ran it through your fingers so i didnt trust it

& Stren EasyCast. Also Daiwa Sensor for value-for-money, although it does have spool-memory!

Yup, I'm a big fan of Spectra and/or Dyneema HPPE superbraids and hybrid braids (HPPE = polyester)

 

Current favourite superbraid .. TUF-Line XP (green) from Western Filament
